valtari film experiment – duluth screening

join sigur rós fans worldwide for the duluth area premiere of the valtari film experiment.

sigur rós have given a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from the band’s new album valtari. the idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom. among the filmmakers are ramin bahrani, alma har’el and john cameron mitchell.
this program presents the official videos along with added materials.  it screens in select cities worldwide, on all seven continents – including antarctica – the weekend of 7-9 december, 2012.
at the screening, you will also be given a unique url where you can enter to win a sigur rós “valtari” package.  one winner will be selected per continent, including antarctica, with two for asia as it is the most populous continent.

Entrance music by Dirty Knobs, one of Minnesota’s most under-appreciated electronic artists
