Cinema Purgatorio @KGB Kraine - our custom high definition screening room at 85 East Fourth Street, Manhattan - is available for select public and private rentals.  In audio and visual quality, this system rivals any similarly sized screening room in the city.  When set up, the space looks and feels like a grindhouse movie theater; when torn down, the system does not interfere with the live stage performances performed within the same space.

Cinema Purgatorio @KGB Kraine can screen Blu-Ray, DVD, HDV, miniDV, and VHS, and also from other formats connected via HDMI, component, SVideo, or standard definition cable. Audio runs alternately in 5.1 surround or standard stereo.  Our projector runs in high definition 1080i; it and most of our decks are Sony; while most of our speakers are JBL.  We also have a Samsung world VCR (NTSC, PAL, SECAM).  If you provide a deck, DVCam, HDCam, DigiBeta, and Betacam can be connected.

Screen:
When showing in 16:9, our screen is approximately 13 feet by 7.3 feet, with a diagonal of approximately 15 feet.  When showing in 4:3 aspect ratio, our screen is approximately 9.75 feet by 7.3 feet, with a diagonal of approximately 12.19 feet.

Projector:
Sony VPL-FE40 SXGA+ LCD Video Projector, running in 1080i; 4000 lumens; 3LCD.
